Progress in medical services to the population is closely related to the qualification of medical staff in quality management, which assumes the control of a healthcare facility’s different processes affecting the quality of medical services. One of these processes is the microbial contamination of the premises. The requirements for the microbial contamination of healthcare facilities, which meet the international standards, are set forth in the current GOST R 52539-2006 «Air purity in the healthcare facilities. General requirements». The disadvantage of this GOST is that it gives requirements for the premises where there is operating medical equipment and there are neither patients no staff. The paper presents the grounded ranges of microbial contamination of surfaces in all premises of healthcare facilities and their installed operating equipment, which can ensure the appropriate quality of medical services.
