Plant-based drugs are called for on the commercial market, which is characterized by highly intensive inventive activity. The patenting objects, as applied to plant-based drugs, are analyzed. Six types of invention objects are classified. The authors give examples of formulas for the inventions of general objects. They recommend the choice of a protection object, as reflected in the invention formula and expressed by a set of essential signs.
