The consumption of herbal teas for the treatment of urinary tract diseases is not only justified, but also rather safe, since aqueous extracts may be used for a long time, without causing complications. The morphological signs of pyelonephritis treatment tea and its individual components, such as bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) leaves, cat’s whiskers (Orthosiphon aristatus) leaves, sweet clover ((Melilotus) herb, licorice (Glycyrrhiza) roots, peppermint (Mentha piperita) leaves, and Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus) rhizomes and roots, were examined. The anatomic and diagnostic signs of the tea and its individual components were established. The identity characteristics of 5- and 2-mm granulate tea were proposed. The findings may be used to develop the draft pharmacopeia article on this herbal tea.
