To obtain solid dispersions is one of the promising areas for optimizing the biopharmaceutical properties of currently available drugs. To prepare them, polyvinylpyrrolidone with different molecular weights is widely used as a polymer carrier. The paper reviews the use of solid polyvinylpyrrolidone dispersions to prepare a number of drugs with optimized biopharmaceutical characteristics (the increased bioavailability of erythromycin, amikacin, metronidazole, rutin, quercetin, furacilin, derivatives of dihydropyridine, etc.).
