VALIDATION OF SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC PROCEDURE FOR QUANTIFICATION OF VINPOCETINE IN MICROCAPSULES

A procedure for spectrophotometric estimation in the ultraviolet region at a wavelength of 314±2 nm has been developed to quantify the content of vinpocetine in the microcapsules. Validation studies have shown that the developed procedure is characterized by specificity, adequate accuracy (RSD = 2.898%), precision in all concentration ranges (RSD = 2.75%), and a linear relationship (correlation coefficient (R) = 0.9964). The procedure may be properly reproduced and appropriate to make a further application.
