If a pharmacy has a large influx of visitors, a pharmacist may not always pay proper attention to each of them and to give pre-advice in order to provide necessary analytical information, thus narrowing the choice of products in the pharmacy. The structure of main reasons for coming to pharmaceutical organizations was studied. The information needs of visitors to drugstores and pharmaceutical workers were determined. An approach to optimizing the information and consultation activities of a drugstore was elaborated using innovative technologies. The information and consultation bases on the basis of which software supply was developed for infomats placed in the sales area of a pharmacy were set up.
