As of the first quarter of 2015, there were a total of 11,487 pharmacy specialists at the enterprises of the Saint Petersburg pharmaceutical market. The qualification-professional structure of the employee potential was analyzed. It was established that 70% of the pharmacy specialists were engaged in retail pharmacy. There was a heterogeneous distribution of pharmaceutical workers by the sectors of the pharmaceutical market, which was due to a much larger number of pharmacies than that of the city’s pharmaceutical enterprises. The pharmacy workers were ascertained to show the predominant areas of their professional activities, namely: management, quality control, and sales/marketing. This also arises from the uneven distribution of specialists with various levels of education by the sectors of the pharmaceutical market.
