The paper gives the results of a comparative informational and analytical study of the quality of raw medicinal plant materials (MPMs) and criteria for the standardization of essential oils according to the requirements of the Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation, 13th Edition, that of the Republic of Kazakhstan, that of the Republic of Belarus, and the European Pharmacopoeia, 8th Edition. General trends and specific differences have been established. The criteria to be further investigated to justify their inclusion in the quality standards for MPM have been identified. The findings create preconditions for the further study of requirements for quality control of MPMs for their harmonization for the space of the Eurasian Economic Union.
